DRESS CODE

The Holy Cross Dress Code is designed to strengthen and reinforce our values as a Christian school.  Uniforms discourage the temptation to use clothing as a status symbol.  Uniforms also promote a feeling of unity among students and have been shown to improve the learning environment.

General information

¨      We are delighted to have Parker Uniforms and Lands’ End Uniforms as our uniform suppliers.  Parker carries all uniform items for girls and boys, including outerwear, with the exception of the sweaters.  Lands’ End carries all items for boys, with the exception of PE uniforms, and the fleece jacket.

¨      We also have a uniform closet that is operated by the Parent Teacher Fellowship as a service to our families.  Used uniforms that are in good condition are sold, usually at ½ price.

¨      All uniform items must be purchased from Parker Uniforms, Lands’ End or the PTF Clothing Closet.  Socks, shoes and belts may be purchased elsewhere but must conform to our dress code.

¨     Pre-loved uniforms that are in good condition may be donated to the PTF. Proceeds from the sale of these items will go to the PTF.

¨   The Lands’ End school number for Holy Cross is 9000-9445-9.  The Lands’ End web address is www.landsend.com/school.  When using this site, go to the item you wish to purchase and enter our school code using no dashes.

¨     Lands’ End garments guarantee:   If you’re not satisfied, return any item at any time for any reason for a refund of its purchase price.

¨    Parker School Uniforms web address is www.parkersu.com and the phone number is 866-430-6366 our school ID is HO008031.

¨      Parker Uniform will custom make uniforms for students that are difficult to fit.

¨      Only school approved uniform items may be worn inside the building.  This includes outerwear.  For this reason, all students must have a uniform jacket or sweater.

¨      All 5th and 6th graders will dress out for PE.  The PE uniform consists of navy athletic shorts and gray T-shirts with the Holy Cross logo.  These items are available through the school. Athletic tennis shoes and white socks are required.

¨      Occasionally there will be “out of uniform” days.  You must comply with the guidelines given for those days when out of uniform.

¨      The official uniform is to be worn on special occasions and when performing or visiting in the community.  Each student should have at least one complete official uniform that is in good repair.  Teachers will notify you when the official uniform is required.

Outerwear

All students must have one outerwear item.  You may choose among the list of options on the appropriate uniform requirements chart.

¨      Outdoor play is part of the daily schedule, so please be sure your child has adequate outerwear for cooler weather.  To prevent loss or mix-up, please label all outer clothing, book bags, etc., with your child’s name.

¨      There are no uniform requirements for jackets that are only worn outdoors.  Remember, though, that outerwear that is not part of the school approved uniform list is not to be worn inside the building.
